An important part of the Catholic Business Connection's
program is to be a vehicle for the promotion of Catholic education. On
a personal level we encourage people to tithe ten percent of their "take
home" pay. Here at the Catholic
Business
Connection we are taking ten percent of every advertisement in our
directories and placing it into the C.B.C. (Catholic Business Connection)
Scholarship Fund. We also make it possible for people to contribute to
this fund when we are out at various functions to help raise more money so
we may extend scholarship funds for Catholic education to as many children
as possible. Anyone may donate to our fund. One hundred
percent of the money collected each year will be awarded in the form of
Catholic school scholarships. There are many families who
need assistance to keep their child/children enrolled in Catholic school.
Our Catholic education is an incredible way to teach about the Catholic
faith. The future of the Catholic church lies with our children.

Who May Apply?
Any child registered in a Catholic parish entering kindergarten through twelfth grade and who is enrolling in a Catholic school in the Cleveland Diocese (Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake Lorain, Medina, Summit, or Wayne Counties), may apply for a scholarship. Since the drawing is a lottery style, even advertisers' children or grandchildren are eligible. The number and the amount of the scholarship(s) are determined by the amount taken in within the previous year (May-May). In May the last three years we awarded one $1000.00 scholarship. In 2010, we will award at least one $1000.00 scholarship and plan to award more.
Applications are available by clicking on the link below. The deadline for applications is May 8th, 2010. The school(s) and the first name of the winner(s) will appear on our website. Money will be paid directly to the school listed on the scholarship application on behalf of the student. Each child must have a separate application. Every applicant must be a legal U.S. citizen. Applications from the same household may be mailed together. Winners are selected randomly through a lottery design. Odds of receiving scholarship money is based on the number of applicants. Applicant information will never be shared, traded, sold or given away.

The date for the 2010 Drawing will be announced at a later date.
